“I’ll Push You”: A Camino Journey of 500 Miles, Two Best Friends and One Wheelchair
As part of its 2017 Faster Future campaign, IBEC has arranged a special screening of “I’ll Push You”, the inspiring story of Justin Skeesuck and Patrick Gray.
Over the past 20 years, a progressive neuromuscular disease has slowly taken away Justin’s ability to use his arms and legs. He requires daily assistance in every aspect of life such as eating, bathing and getting dressed.
In the spring of 2012, Justin asked his best friend Patrick if he would help him complete the Camino de Santiago, the 500-mile pilgrimage trail in Northern Spain. Patrick’s response was simple and direct: “I’ll push you.”
In 2014, they became the first people to complete the Camino in a wheelchair. They’re now sharing their inspiring story with audiences around the world.
Donations between €40 and €59,99 will be entered into a draw to receive a free ticket to the screening. Donations of €60 and above will receive a ticket to the screening and will also be invited to a special tour of IBEC’s labs.
More details about the screening will be available soon.
